Maintenance of Conveying Systems

Esenkıyı Shipyard provides maintenance, repair, and retrofit services for both fixed pitch (FPP) and controllable pitch (CPP) propeller systems, along with high-maneuverability special propulsion systems. Our technical team is qualified to operate on integrated propulsion units from manufacturers such as Schottel, Voith Schneider, Rolls-Royce US/UK series, Wärtsilä WST series, and Azimuth Thrusters.

The scope of services includes disassembly, cleaning, balance control, shaft alignment, bearing clearance measurement, seal system renewal, and dynamic testing. All procedures are conducted in accordance with class-approved guidelines. Particular focus is given to the propeller-hub interface, sealing rings, coupling systems, and torque limiter components, with verified application of original spare parts and precise torque values.

In 2024, we successfully completed the comprehensive five-year maintenance procedures on two Wärtsilä WST thruster units—two of only eight operating worldwide. These operations involved detailed technical analysis and refurbishment of transmission system dynamics, lubrication circuits, reduction gear tolerances, and cooling loops.

Our shipyard is equipped with both in-house and on-site intervention capacity, ensuring reliable propulsion system performance without interrupting vessel operations.
