Esenkıyı Shipyard, with both closed and open-type docking facilities capable of handling vessels up to 280 meters, performs dry-docking operations in full compliance with international classification society standards. The docking process begins with diver-assisted positioning based on trim and draft values, followed by secure dry landing of the vessel according to a pre-established block arrangement plan.
During the dry period, all maintenance and repair operations are carried out according to a project plan prepared by shipyard engineers, aligned with the vessel’s technical requirements and dock time limitations. Our primary services during dry-docking include:
Hull surface cleaning using ultra-high pressure (UHP) water jets and abrasive blasting to SA 2.5 or SA 3 standards, followed by certified coating applications with WFT/DFT measurement and control
Overhaul and maintenance of shaft, propeller, stern tube, and rudder systems, including disassembly, seal replacement, and dynamic balancing
Anchor and chain measurement and calibration, chain locker cleaning, and functionality testing
Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement (UTM) to evaluate steel plating conditions in accordance with class survey requirements
Inspection and maintenance of Kinnisten boxes, sea chest components, and overboard valves
Full maintenance of box cooler systems including removal, cleaning, sealing verification, and reinstallation
Structural steel replacement and weld repairs in submerged hull sections, performed with class supervision and inspection
All operations are supported by NDT testing procedures (UT, MPI, VT), carried out by certified personnel. Our ERP-integrated project management system ensures transparent resource planning, progress tracking, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental protocols.
Delivery schedules are maintained precisely, and all operations are executed to meet the vessel's operational readiness and classification compliance requirements.
